Russian GUI translation for KGoldRunner

completed by: Евгений Лежнин

mentors: Alexander Potashev

KGoldrunner is an action game for KDE.

Your task is to finish Russian translation of its user interface. Most of the messages that are still untranslated are descriptions of game levels, some of them are long. There is a glossary (there is a discussion in our mailing list -- you can join us ;) ) for translating game terms in KGoldRunner:

  • pole -- канат
  • brick -- кирпич
  • block -- блок
  • platform -- платформа
  • bar -- брус
  • ladder -- лестница
  • concrete -- бетон
  • false (fall-through) brick (block) -- проваливающийся ...
  • enemy -- враг
  • digging -- копание, рытьё (Можно оставить переводы, образованные от обоих корней.)
  • hero -- герой
  • hole -- яма

Translation should also comply with Russian KDE team guidelines (see below). You can also use to search for translation mistakes (select the .po file and click "Submit", then click "more..." link for your file to see the list of mistakes). If that website does not work, please, tell me.

To start translating you should download the latest translation file kgoldrunner.po. As a result of your work you should upload the updated file kgoldrunner.po.

What you should know

  • Read and remember Russian KDE team localization guidelines (in Russian),
  • Note that most often asked questions are already answered in the concise handbook on translation of KDE (in Russian) by Russian KDE team,
  • The best place to ask any questions on KDE Russian localization is our mailing list (see below).
  • Always upload your work on the task page (here), do not use file hosting services for that.
