To complete this task you need to create a patch which improves the UX by allowing the user to return to the initial form, repopulating their initial values, and offering some basic validation errors.

You need to work with a trunk / 3.1-beta install and you should enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file. The ticket provides more direction.
