Flowgrammable.org is a coalition of researchers and industry engineers dedicated to improving adoption of software-defined networks and networking. Our first product was the Flowgrammable SDN Stack, an implementation of OpenFlow 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.3.1 protocols with a robust and secure message layer. This stack was a finalist in the Open Networking Foundation’s open source OpenFlow Driver competition. Complementing the stack, we have also prepared a knowledge base designed to accelerate learning about OpenFlow and its protocol definitions. Unlike the OpenFlow specifications, the knowledge base uses easy to read IETF styled descriptions that don't require a reader to be familiar with C and GNU GCC.Projects
- Advancement of FreeFlow's version support and controller integration In order for FreeFlow to offer the same support as the onf2013 submission, OpenFlow versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3.0, and 1.3.1 must all be included. A state machine must also be present to handle the establishment of a connection between a switch and controller. Integration with the controller must allow FreeFlow to easily support new OpenFlow versions as they come out.
